Slowing Down To Speed Up

It's like driving a car through a curve.

Woah….this post is outdated! My bad. Back in June, I decided to move to a new environment. There was a major lag there in productivity during that time but necessary to make sure that I was distraction-free. Or at least fewer distractions. Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up. I tried my best to settle in and get back in the flow, but it was no good. Potentially more on that later.

So I moved again

Sigh. Here’s some actual footage of how these moves have been going for me.

This is My First Time

Ok, so maybe I’m a smidge dramatic 😅. But dang, me picking this problem to solve is SO classic me being in my comfort zone. Of course, I would choose an intensely challenging problem to solve that makes things very complicated for my first time ever going to market with a digital product.

New Landing Page Alert

It might seem like I haven’t done anything in the past month because I haven’t posted, but it’s not true! Since I narrowed my target market to founders, I had to redo my landing page. The other reason that I needed to redo my landing page was that I wanted to run ads to figure out my customer cost per acquisition (CAC).

Building the new page included many micro-steps, and after all that work, the running ads problem I had with my other landing page was resolved, but another problem appeared that is still making it impossible. I’ve decided to focus on organic growth instead.

I also met with a clinical psychologist and built a new survey. This month I hope to complete at least 50 user research interviews. These will all be with founders and entrepreneurs now that I’ve narrowed my market. All of the interviews are being posted on YouTube, and you can watch them and see the upcoming schedule there.

More Problems 😕

I’m having some serious issues with my internet connection right now, where gifs are not loading to this substack post, and it’s not saving properly. I would like to get it up before August first which is in about 40 minutes. So I guess I’ll have to leave this as is for now. Hope it gets published!
